A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. The contribution of a teacher cannot be ignored at all. In many countries across the world, teacher’s day is a special day where teachers of schools, colleges, and universities are honored specially. The date varies from country to country. In India, the Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September and this tradition started from 1962. The birth date of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 5 September 1888, has been celebrated as Teacher’s Day since 1962. On this day, teachers and students report as usual but the usual activities and classes are replaced by activities of celebration, thanks and remembrance.
In Institute Of Management, Teachers Day is celebrated with great zeal every year. Based on Traditional Theme welcome of the guest, lighting the lamp, decoration, Invitation card etc was done.
The Guest Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Director Dr Abhijit Mancharkar and other Staff members were welcomed traditionally and then program was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp and paying the tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Felicitation of Guest and others staff members were done by the students.

The program was started by performance of Ganesh vandana by the students. The students arranged the variety of programs and games for the teachers. Students gave the awards to the teachers based on their qualities and nature.
Dr Abhijit Mancharkar, Director appreciated the students for their efforts and management of function.
