Nature of Program: Annual Gathering

The most awaited program of the year is Annual Gathering Flames. Flames 2018 was celebrated on 6th -8th, 12th, 14th and 15th Feb 2018 with zeal, passion, energy and enthusiasm. The event gave platform to the students to showcase their talent. The event has also helped students to various skills. The theme of the event was aptly chosen as “NAVRAS” which means a blend of nine emotions.
Flames 2018 started with various exciting days’ celebration like Hawaiin Day, Disney Day and Rajgharana Day. Students come forward with exceptional ideas and made these days memorable.
On 12th Feb.2018, the Academic Day started at 9.30 am. The program started with an Opening Ceremony including “Saraswati Pujan” and “Lightening of The Lamp” by the hands of special guest of the day, Honorary Chairman Local Managing Council IOM Mr. Rahul Yadav. The academic event was full with various activities like, Business quiz, Mad ads, Face Painting, Manufacture Eco Designs, Pahechan Kon?, etc. Second Year Marketing- HR students have grabbed the overall “Academic Rolling Trophy”
On 14th Feb 2018 the Sports Day started with opening ceremony by offering a garland and Shrifal to the Volleyball ground by the hands of Hon. Treasurer AISSMS Shri. Ajay Patil Sir and other faculty members encouraged the students by playing the volleyball. On sports day students were just full of energy and enthusiasm to win the competition. To encourage the students, Sports event were having interesting compactions like Volleyball, Cricket, Tug of War, Football, Chess, Carom, etc. The day ended with congratulating the winners & Runner ups. First year students won the Overall “Sports Rolling Trophy”.
On 15th Feb 2018, in the morning the corridor of AISSMS IOM was decorated with colorful Rangoli competition. And in the eve of 15th Feb, the most awaited cultural event of FLAMES started with offering garland to Shivaji Maharaj’s Photo, Saraswati Murti & Lightening of the Lamp by the hands of Chief Guest. The Chief Guest of the event Mr. Samir Kukade, Country Director Human Resource, Lear Corporation & Honorary Joint secretary AISSMS Mr. Suresh Shinde graced the event with their gracious presence.
Director Dr A.R. Mancharkar gave welcome speech where he congratulated to the winners and runner ups of Academic and sports event and wish all the best to the participants of cultural event participants. He also advised students to have big dreams in their life and persuade it passionately. Chief Guest addresses the students on personality development and he has highlighted on VUCA world. Mr. Suresh Shinde sir emphasized on how the innovative skills are essential to cope up with this upcoming world during his speech.
After the very informative and motivating speech given by Director, Chief Guest and Joint Secretary the program proceeded with cultural activities where students performed wholeheartedly and showcased their hidden talent of dancing, singing, etc. The dance performances were based on the theme of the event i.e. Navras where all of them demonstrated the various expressions like Krodh, Love, Karuna, Courage, Veerata, Bhayanaka, etc. Few special performances were conducted to entertain the audience between the two performances like standup comedy, skit, etc. First year Div B students seized the “Cultural Rolling Trophy”. The program was concluded with Vote of Thanks given by Prof. Rashmi Phirake Flames 2018 Co-ordinator.
With the contribution and cooperation of all staff members and students the Flames 2018 was made a grand success
