Flames 2017….a day to celebrate the past achievement & look forward to journey ahead!

The theme chosen for this year was “Vasanta “ ….Lets walk with the spirit of spring.

The FLAMES WEEK from 8th Feb to 13 Feb 2017 was celebrated with exciting days like Twins day , Halloween day, and Bollywood/ Character day where students come up with unique ideas .

On 14 th Feb.2017, the Sports Day started at 9.30 am. Before the competition began, we had a Opening Ceremony. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with special guest of the day, Honorary Treasurer Mr. Ajay Patil.

Once the Cricket began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young Cricketers. Followed with the football & volley ball, Fun time with a tug- of- war between Gils Teams and Boys Teams separately. The day ended with congratulating the winners & Runner ups. First year students won the Overall “ Sports Trophy”.

On 15th Feb2017, Academic Event started with lamp lightening ceremony and Director’s speech. Just –a –minute, Poster competition, Mad ads, Face Painting were conducted .Second year students grabbed the overall “Academic Trophy.”

On 16th Feb 2017, in the morning the corridor of AISSMS IOM was decorated with colorful Rangoli competition. And in the eve of 16 th Feb, the most awaited cultural event of FLAMES started with lamp lightening. The occasion was graced by Mr. Ajay Patil , Honorary Treasurer and Mr. Sahebrao Jadhav , Chairman managing committee.

The cultural activities performed by the student’s exhibit their hidden talent. They need an outlet to showcase their potential and creativity. The students of today are not shy as they are exposed to the environment. However, they need mentoring and proper direction to channelize their potential. The various activities performed on the occasion included plays and skits, songs under different styles, Dance performances, Theme performance and so forth. The students anchored different segments of the function with a view to work independently. Second year students seized the Cultural Trophy by beating First year students.

The foot-tapping cultural brought the entire audience comprising students, faculty, staff, to the dance floor.
